Difficulty
Easy
  • 350–400g beef mince (minimum 20% fat), divided into 4 equal balls
  • 4 shop-bought cinnamon swirls
  • 4 rashers streaky bacon
  • 1 apple (Pink Lady works well), sliced horizontally
  • 4 slices burger cheese
  • 4 teaspoons light brown soft sugar
  • Good-quality salt
  • Maple syrup, for drizzling
  1. Preheat your griddle over high heat and lightly oil the surface.
  2. Lay the bacon rashers onto the hot griddle. When ready to flip, sprinkle the cooked side with a little brown sugar. Flip and continue cooking, adding more sugar as needed to caramelise.
  3. Place the beef balls onto the griddle. After about 2 minutes, flip and firmly smash them down. Season generously with salt.
  4. Once a deep crust has formed on the underside, flip the patties again and season the second side with salt.
  5. Top each patty with a slice of apple and a slice of cheese. Cover with a Blackstone cloche to melt the cheese.
  6. Place the cinnamon swirls cut-side down onto the hot griddle. Gently press them to caramelise the sugars and icing.
  7. When everything is cooked, start building your burgers: cinnamon swirl base, cheesy apple-topped smash patties, caramelised bacon, and the cinnamon swirl lid.
  8. Finish with a light drizzle of maple syrup. Be good, do good, and eat good.
