Everything you love about a pepperoni pizza, stacked on top of a juicy burger. Finished with melty mozzarella, crispy pepperoni, a quick pizza sauce, and plenty of garlic butter, this burger delivers big Italian-inspired flavor in every bite.
Ingredients
- 2 burger patties (about 180–200 g each)
- 2 burger buns
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2–3 cloves garlic, minced (or garlic paste)
- 1 tsp Italian herbs
- 2–3 tbsp ketchup
- ½ tsp garlic granules
- 8–10 slices pepperoni
- 4–6 slices mozzarella cheese
- Splash of vinegar (optional)
- Butter or oil, for toasting the buns
- Salt, to taste
Directions
- Preheat your Blackstone to medium-high heat.
- Season the burger patties with salt and place them onto the hot griddle. Cook for 4–5 minutes until a deep crust forms, then flip.
- While the burgers cook, melt the butter in a small pan. Stir in the garlic and Italian herbs, then cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Set aside.
- In a small bowl, combine the ketchup, a splash of vinegar, garlic granules, and a pinch of Italian herbs to create a quick pizza-style sauce.
- Place the pepperoni slices onto the griddle and cook briefly until they begin to curl and lightly crisp around the edges.
- Top each burger patty with mozzarella cheese and cover with a melting dome or cloche until the cheese is fully melted.
- Lightly butter the burger buns and toast them until golden brown.
- Spread the pizza sauce onto the bottom buns.
- Place a cheesy burger patty on each bun, then top with the warm pepperoni.
- Brush the garlic butter over the inside of the top buns or spoon it over the finished burgers for an extra burst of flavor.
- Top with the toasted buns and serve immediately while the cheese is hot and melty.
